COVID-19

COVID-19 Policy

Overview

The WBAA takes the risk of COVID-19 quite seriously. The Board of Directors will be monitoring national trends, recommendations from the CDC, and the current directives from Public Health Madison Dane County. This policy will flex with expected changing directives but will be conservative to lower the risk of illness for everyone.

Volunteers

All volunteers directly involved with WBAA programming and activities will be required to be fully vaccinated. Based on the recommendations of the CDC and directives of PHMDC, volunteers will wear masks where required.

Attendees

We are encouraging WBAA attendees to get vaccinated to lower the risk of serious infection amongst the participants. However, we realize this is a personal choice each child and their parents are making, and thus it is not mandatory.

Locations

Throughout our camp, we will be visiting airport facilities in various locations. Volunteers and attendees will be required to follow the COVID-19 requirements in each location.

Symptom Protocol

All participants are requested to perform a self-evaluation for COVID-symptoms prior to showing up at each daily session. If you suspect you may have symptoms please contact us at (608) 520-0192 to discuss your situation.

If you are symptomatic we ask that you stay home.

While we will try to assist you in every way possible, please follow the guidance of a health professional if you are concerned about your symptoms.

Notification

If a participant notifies us of a positive test we will seek assistance from PHMDC to assess if contact tracing is needed.

Any issues related to possible exposure or infection by one or more participants will be kept private in accordance with the best practices of medical privacy. Our goal is only to identify and isolate to limit community spread.

Effect on Operations

If exposure or a positive test becomes known to us we will first follow the symptom protocol and then further assess how and/or when our programming can proceed.
